Parsons and Adobe partner for AI-focused student projects

In spring 2026, Parsons School of Design at The New School partnered with Adobe for a program titled 'Creativity in the Age of AI,' examining AI's role in creative education. The initiative included a symposium, a Creative AI Lab, and a public exhibition. Student projects spanned disciplines, featuring a comic strip by Kiara Chang and Yash Sonwaney titled 'Time Again,' which critiques AI dependence using 1950s magazine aesthetics and risograph print. Pallavi Chattoraj's 'Sister Blister' comic series explored decolonial design and Channapatna toy craft. Octavio Martinez's 'Digital Arson' used UV-printed travertine tiles and custom corruption algorithms to question digital archival power. Yaning Hu's 'Rogue' campaign employed Adobe Firefly for AI-generated makeup marketing. Isabella Tedesco's 'untitled [zen for failing systems]' speculated on creative culture in a GenAI world. Tutors included Jeongki Lim, Julienne DeVita, Geoffrey Gertz, and others from Parsons, alongside Adobe staff like Brooke Hopper and Matthew Richmond.
