Paris Fashion Week SS27: Torishéju, Dries Van Noten, Dior and Loewe Among Top 10 Shows

festival-fair · 2026-10-06

Monocle's roundup of the ten best shows from the spring/summer 2027 edition of Paris Fashion Week highlights both major maisons and emerging names. London-based designer Torishéju Dumi, winner of the 2025 LVMH Savoir-Faire Prize, titled her menswear-focused collection "Panem et Circenses," a reference to Roman satirist Juvenal's phrase about bread and circuses, and expanded her use of leopard print and romantic florals. At Dries Van Noten, Belgian creative director Julian Klausner, increasingly favoured by editors and buyers, drew on 1950s film noir with an invitation styled as a movie poster and a collection of knee-length skirts, boxy blazers and peep-toe heels in jade green, lilac, baby blue, lemon and blush pink, plus oversized jewellery and brooches. Jonathan Anderson continued his autumn/winter 2026 Dior narrative at the Jardin des Tuileries' Le Bassin Octagonal, softening the Bar jacket and scattering dresses with hand-cut petals. Loewe co-creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez marked the Spanish house's 180th anniversary with craft-led chiffon dresses, tie-dye and beading, hand-painted striped bombers, and accessories including a glass-bead-embellished mesh clutch and square-toe kitten heels.
