Paludicola Project Launches in Emilia-Romagna, Turning Wetlands into Artistic Laboratory

The Paludicola initiative has commenced in Emilia-Romagna, transforming the marshland landscapes of Ferrara and the Po Valley into sites for artistic exploration. Organized by Wunderkammer, the project involves residencies, workshops, and community engagement examining environmental complexities. It launched with 'Appaludare/Farsi Palude,' a three-day event from March 27-29, 2026, featuring performances by electronic musician Fennesz, workshops with Glauco Salvo and Andrea Bruera, and discussions on ecological responsibility. The program will continue through 2027 with additional residencies, culminating in a festival and publication. This artistic research addresses climate change, industrialization impacts, and relationships between communities and ecosystems.
