Other Circle returns to Copenhagen with KitKat coffin, Claude AI, and BMW
The second edition of design exhibition Other Circle took over The Lab in Copenhagen, featuring a wide range of exhibitors from Claude AI to emerging Norwegian talents. Co-founders Svend Jacob Pedersen and Silas Adler curated a multi-disciplinary show spanning design, music, food, art, and fashion. Highlights included Ghanaian artist Paa Joe's KitKat-shaped coffin with a USB port, Muuto's 20th-anniversary installation The Library, and NM3's stainless-steel furniture. Anthropic's Claude AI chatbot created an installation with inflatable fruits and digital projections. BMW sponsored the event and displayed a collaboration with artist Esther Mahlangu. Other Circle ran concurrently with 3 Days of Design but outside its official schedule; Pedersen hopes to eventually join the main festival. The event also featured Volum showcasing Norwegian designers, Cristina Román Díaz's steel-and-concrete furniture, Nao Iwamatsu's wooden stools, and Sucuk und Bratwurst's kettlebell-like teapots made with KPM Berlin. Film screenings, talks, workshops, a courtyard bar, and a bakery complemented the exhibitions.
