Ollie Olanipekun Brings Flock Together's Birdwatching Ethos to Shoreditch Design Week
Ollie Olanipekun, the founder of the birdwatching group Flock Together, has been chosen for 'Voices of Shoreditch', an event curated by Duncan Riches that highlights talent from East London. Among the featured creatives are Bethan Laura Wood, Jasper Morrison, Lee Broom, and Martino Gamper. Olanipekun presents a pair of binoculars, representing the solidarity among birdwatchers. His passion for birdwatching started two decades ago during a stag weekend for his brother. In 2020, he launched Flock Together with Nadeem Perera, offering free monthly walks for people of color and establishing chapters in Tokyo, Toronto, and New York. 'Voices of Shoreditch' will take place from September 15 to 20 at House of Icon, Shoreditch Town Hall, London EC1.
