OKA Launches Mori, a 30cm AI Companion Robot Shaped Like a Mushroom

digital · 2026-10-22

Co-founded by Wesley Chen and Hua Wang, OKA (One Kind Artifact) has introduced Mori, a companion robot standing 30cm tall, retailing for $649. Wang, known as a 'nomadic entrepreneur,' dedicated ten years to creating user engagement mechanisms for mobile devices before transitioning to robotics, influenced by Fritz Lang's 1927 film Metropolis. Named after the Japanese word for 'forest,' Mori showcases a mushroom-like cap, glowing eyes, and a camera button for a nose, with servos that allow smooth movements. Comprising 25% real wool and offered in four colors, it responds to both touch and voice commands. Equipped with OKA's 'Attentive Intelligence Engine,' Mori learns to identify individuals and settings, also serving as a Bluetooth speaker and lamp. A limited Founder Edition of 500 units is available for $699.
