New York Gallery Shuffle: Soho Resurgence, Chelsea Consolidation, Tribeca Growth
The Garth Greenan Gallery has relocated from West 20th Street to two storefronts on Greene Street in Soho, debuting with individual exhibitions featuring Rosalyn Drexler and Cannupa Hanska Luger. Established in Chelsea in 2011, Greenan emphasized Soho's historical importance in the art world. The properties at 10 and 25 Greene Street are undergoing renovations by Stuart Basseches Architect and Konstantinos Spiropoulos. Ben Ward Gallery will launch on 17 September at 76 Wooster Street, showcasing Titus McBeath's solo exhibition. On 19 September, Ateliers Courbet will expand to 53 Crosby Street. Ellie Rines Gallery will open at 46 Walker Street, and First Year Contemporary will debut at 368 Broadway. On 22 September, Victoria Mouraux Durand-Ruel and Gazelli Art House will open at 555 and 545 West 25th Street, respectively. Finally, 47 Canal will open at 529 West 20th Street on 24 September.
