New Art Fair in Baden, Nomadic Gallery in Frankfurt, Louvre Reopens Galerie d'Apollon, Villa Massimo in Weimar

This weekend, the Art Baden fair launches at Casino Baden near Vienna, featuring 40 galleries in historic halls, with artist talks, studio visits, and an 'art.night' involving local museums. Organized by Congress Center Baden and Galerie Breyer, it runs until July 26. In Frankfurt, Galerist Philipp Pflug presents 'Fruits of the Market' at a fruit and vegetable stand in Kleinmarkthalle, showing works by Thomas Bayrle, Alicja Kwade, Jiří Georg Dokoupil, and over 20 other artists, continuing his nomadic gallery model. The exhibition runs until July 25. In Paris, the Louvre's Galerie d'Apollon reopened on Wednesday after a jewel theft in October 2025, but without its jewels and treasures, which will be stored in a windowless vault. Eight pieces worth an estimated €88 million were stolen; the crown of Empress Eugénie is being restored. Director Christophe Leribault called it a new beginning. In Weimar, the Villa Massimo hosts 'Wo die Citronen glüh'n' with 22 Rome Prize fellows from 2024/25 and 2025/26, featuring exhibitions, concerts, readings, performances, and films at venues including ACC Galerie, Bauhaus-Museum, Bauhaus-Universität, Lichthaus Kino, and Buchenwald Memorial, where Barbara Yelin's watercolors on Holocaust survivor Emmie Arbel are shown. The festival runs until July 26, with some events through October.
