Museum Mile Festival Returns for 48th Year on Fifth Avenue

On June 9, the Museum Mile Festival will take place, transforming Fifth Avenue into a vibrant, open-air event with complimentary entry to around eight major museums. The Metropolitan Museum of Art, established in 1870, will feature a performance and showcase exhibitions such as 'Musical Bodies' (running from June 7 to September 27, 2026) and 'Giacometti in the Temple of Dendur' (opening June 12). The Neue Galerie marks its 25th anniversary with a special display of Klimt's 'Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer 1.' The Guggenheim Museum will exhibit a Carol Bove survey until August 2, while the Jewish Museum offers 'Paul Klee: Other Possible Worlds' until July 26. El Museo del Barrio will celebrate with a Puerto Rican fiesta, and The Africa Center will present 'Resistance in Memory: Visions of Sudan' through June 28.
