digital · 2026-04-26

The Museo del Risparmio, established in 2012 by Intesa Sanpaolo, has unveiled an interactive space named "Ammirare." This room employs virtual reality to illustrate economic concepts through ten renowned artworks. Guests can don Oculus VR headsets to engage with animated versions created by artists such as Benozzo Gozzoli, Peter Paul Rubens, and Édouard Manet. Subjects covered include the emergence of banks, financial crises, and taxation. Among the highlighted pieces are Rubens's 1606 portrait of Maria Serra Pallavicino and Hopper's 1942 Nighthawks. The exhibit also explores the art market, featuring Bonnard's 1924 Portrait of Ambroise Vollard with a Cat. Intesa Sanpaolo President Gian Maria Gros-Pietro noted the importance of an interdisciplinary approach. The museum is situated at Via San Francesco d'Assisi, 8A, Turin, and operates daily from 10 am to 7 pm, excluding Tuesdays.
