Musée en Herbe Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Four-Day Urban Art Festival in April

The Musée en Herbe, an association dedicated to making art accessible to all since 1975, is marking its 50th anniversary with a special event from April 3 to 6. The celebration features a lineup of activities highlighting its mission to bridge social and cultural divides through interactive engagement. Over its history, the institution has welcomed more than six million visitors, including children, families, schools, and community groups from across France and beyond. The anniversary program includes a carte blanche initiative where 26 prominent urban artists, such as ARDPG, BAULT, CHANOIR, DA CRUZ, DJEFF, ÉVAZESIR, JEAN FAUCHEUR, JÉRÔME MESNAGER, JÉRÔME THOMAS, JO DI BONA, JO LITTLE, JOACHIM ROMAIN, JORDANE SAGET, KATRE, KOUKA NTADI, L'ATLAS, LADY M, LE CYKLOP, MADAME, MARKO 93, MOSKO, NASTY, RERO, SPEEDY GRAPHITO, STEW, and TANC, will perform and create installations on-site. Some artists will also host workshops, signings, and sell merchandise. A temporal capsule experience will showcase archival materials, games, reading corners, and workshops revisiting about 60 iconic exhibitions from the museum's past. Visitors can contribute ideas for the museum's future on a dedicated wall. Additionally, an expo-vente titled 'L'Explosition' will present 100 artists, including ADOR, ALBER, ALBERTO RUCE, AMÉLIE VEYSSIÈRE, and others, each contributing a 20x20 cm artwork for sale, honoring those who have supported the museum's legacy. The event also includes an artistic bingo hosted by the artist Madame, with tickets priced at 5 euros for a chance to win 21 art-related prizes, and a Tombol'art raffle on April 6 at 5 PM, where 10-euro tickets offer opportunities to win artworks, unique experiences with artists, personalized pieces, museum entries, and collector's books by Invader. The celebration underscores the museum's enduring commitment to inclusivity and community engagement in the art world.
