Musée du quai Branly celebrates 20 years with three-day festival

The Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris marks its 20th anniversary from June 19 to 21, 2026, with a packed program including a paid opening night (€34) featuring performances by Ballaké Sissoko, Oxmo Puccino, Kiddy Smile, Tété, BCUC, and DJ sets by Acid Arab, Lola Ondi Kwa, and Andy 4000. The rest of the weekend is free, with workshops, guided tours, culinary tastings, and a grand ball with Cuban and Dominican music on Saturday. The rooftop becomes an open-air cinema from 7pm, starting with a discussion between Cédric Klapisch and Thierry de Peretti, followed by films including Hafsia Herzi's 'La Petite Dernière' (2025) and closing with 'West Side Story' (1961) at dawn. Sunday offers tai-chi with guqin music, storytelling for toddlers, giant coloring, and a postcard-making station. The museum's lighting installations by Yann Kersalé are also highlighted.
