Murmure and Matt DesLauriers Generate 11,000 Unique Posters for Nördik Impakt 20

digital · 2026-07-08

French studio Murmure, in collaboration with developer Matt DesLauriers, created a generative design system for the 20th edition of the Nördik Impakt festival. The tool uses WebGL to produce dynamic three-dimensional shapes that respond to generative sound design, allowing users to manipulate the software and generate their own unique posters. Over eleven thousand unique artworks were generated during the campaign. The visual system is anchored by a bold grotesque typographic layout balancing black and white fields with bright spot colors. The program outputs custom vector files for immediate print production, scaling cleanly across print flyers and journals. This project exemplifies a shift from static branding to participatory co-creation, merging digital art with standard branding strategies.
