Montreuil Artists' Open Studios 2026: 250+ Ateliers Open October 9–11

festival-fair · 2026-10-04

For three days, more than 250 artists' studios across Montreuil open to the public free of charge, from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 October 2026. Alongside Paris, Montreuil is the Île-de-France municipality where the greatest number of artists live and work, and the annual event ranks among the oldest and densest of its kind in the Paris suburbs. Painters, sculptors, photographers, ceramicists, engravers, bookbinders and jewellers occupy former industrial workshops, pavilions, courtyards and collectives; each autumn the whole city becomes an open-air gallery. Visitors enter without a ticket, speak with the makers, and leave with a work or an address. Exhibitions, workshops, concerts and performances punctuate the walks, with Friday evening openings setting the tone. The route is organised by neighbourhood, on foot or by bicycle, map in hand. The Centre Tignous d'art contemporain at 116 rue de Paris serves as the welcome point throughout the event, distributing the official guide with its fold-out map, also available online as an interactive map. Coloured balloons in the streets mark each open studio. Opening hours: Friday 9 October 2026 from 18h to 22h; Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 October from 11h to 20h. Welcome point: Centre Tignous d'art contemporain, 116 rue de Paris, 93100 Montreuil, M° Robespierre (line 9). Free entry.
