MÖNINGA: Modena Volunteer Association Blends Festivals with International Aid

Established in 2015 in Modena, the volunteer group MÖNINGA focuses on international collaboration, cultural initiatives, and youth engagement. It generates funds for development efforts in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Ethiopia through various festivals and exhibitions. Founded by Gabriele Goldoni, MÖNINGA hosts the Paradiso Festival in June and MOAF from July 1-4, featuring talents such as Fatima Koanda and Marrakech Express. Over the past eleven years, the organization has collaborated with more than 120 artists and raised upwards of €150,000 for initiatives, including orphanages in Kimbondo and Masina, a cerebral palsy treatment facility, and a school serving 200 students in Masina. Future projects include Out Of Control (September 18-20, 2026) and plans to expand to Rome and Venice, with a focus on environmental sustainability.
