The official YouTube channel for Mister Rogers' Neighborhood has gone live, offering full-length episodes globally for the first time, including the 1968 series premiere. The channel, reported by the New York Times' Sopan Deb, features episodes that have not aired on PBS in decades, such as those with Officer Clemmons, Koko the Gorilla, a crayon factory tour, and a 1997 crossover with Bill Nye the Science Guy. With the show's 60th anniversary approaching in 2028, the channel makes 895 episodes accessible to new generations. Fred Rogers' onscreen persona, consistent with his offscreen identity, aimed to avoid talking down to children. The channel also includes the first black-and-white season from 1968, comprising 130 episodes.
