Miranda July to Keynote Aspen Art Museum's 2026 AIR Festival

festival-fair · 2026-06-18

The second annual AIR festival at the Aspen Art Museum is set to commence on July 27, 2026, coinciding with Aspen Art Week. Miranda July, an American author, artist, and filmmaker, will serve as the keynote speaker. This year’s theme, "Figures in a Landscape," draws inspiration from Joseph Losey's 1970 thriller, expanding upon last year's exploration of art and technology. Argentine sculptor Adrián Villar Rojas will headline the event with a significant exhibition of new works. Camille Henrot, a French interdisciplinary artist, will debut her first theatrical piece, a tragicomedy centered on New York, commissioned by several partners. The festival will also feature performances by Ivan Cheng, Lyle Ashton Harris, and the duo Los Thuthanaka, running from July 27 to July 31, 2026.
