Microsoft's Project Solara Badge Is a Wearable Designed to Disappear

At Build 2026 on June 2nd, Microsoft's Applied Sciences Group unveiled Project Solara, an agent-first computing platform, alongside its first hardware concept: a reimagined access badge. Unlike previous wearable attempts like the Humane AI Pin or Rabbit R1, the badge is designed to be visually ignored, fitting into an object already worn daily. It features a touchscreen, fingerprint sensor, side-facing camera, 5G connectivity, and Qualcomm silicon.
