miart 2026 Launches 30th Edition with New Directions Theme and Expanded Sections

Miart 2026 will take place from April 17 to 19, 2026, with a VIP preview scheduled for April 16, marking its 30th edition at the Allianz MiCo South Wing in Milan. Under the direction of Nicola Ricciardi and organized by Fiera Milano, the fair will host 160 galleries from 24 nations, themed New Directions, inspired by John Coltrane. The Emergent section, curated by Attilia Fattori Franchini, will display 29 galleries that delve into themes of identity, memory, climate, and the body. Meanwhile, the Established section will feature 111 galleries dedicated to 20th-century art and contemporary practices. Additionally, a new Established Anthology section will showcase 20 galleries focused on time and memory, while the Movements project, curated by Stefano Rabolli Pansera, will present 20 films exploring sound and image. Partnerships include Intesa Sanpaolo, and awards will honor curatorial excellence.
