Matadero Madrid announces upcoming season with L.E.V., Carlos Aires, Damien Jalet

The new season at Matadero Madrid kicks off in September, offering a diverse array of visual arts, dance, film, literature, and technology. It begins with the eighth L.E.V. Matadero Festival, which will present installations, concerts, and immersive experiences. Notable features include Carlos Aires' installation "Bailad, bailad, malditos" in Nave 0 and a series dedicated to choreographer Damien Jalet, organized by Cineteca Madrid and Centro Danza Matadero. The Back to the Book festival will host authors such as Paco Roca, Lucía Solla Sobral, and Julieta Venegas. In December, the Animario festival will return, highlighting contemporary animation. Medialab will introduce a lab focused on truth construction in the AI era, while Intermediae will continue its initiatives in Arganzuela and Usera, alongside family activities like embroidery, weaving, and avant-garde cinema.
