Masa 2026 Biennale Opens with African Dance Focus Featuring Georges Momboye and Faso Danse Théâtre

The 2026 Masa biennale launched with a strong emphasis on dance, featuring a choreographed performance by Georges Momboye with the National Ballet of Côte d'Ivoire. Daily programming across festival stages offers urban, heritage, and contemporary dance forms. Burkina Faso choreographer Serge-Aimé Coulibaly and his Faso Danse Théâtre present "C la vie," while the Alkebulan company performs "Échos célestes" with members Michel Haddad, Dramane Ouattara, and Koko Karel.
