Marylebone emerges as London's discreet cultural quarter with Summer in the Square

Marylebone has subtly evolved from a genteel residential neighborhood into a hidden cultural center for London's creative sectors. The most noticeable change occurs around Chiltern Street, where Monocle Café acts as a casual gathering spot for media professionals, designers, and editors. From 7 to 12 July 2026, Summer in the Square will take place in Portman Square Garden, offering live Wimbledon broadcasts, scent workshops with anatomē, creative writing sessions with Cecilia Knapp, and more, all while supporting The Passage charity.
