Marsa Trio & Guests Bring Mediterranean Fusion to Jass Club on October 14

On October 14, the Marsa Trio will perform with guests at the Jass Club as part of the Jazz Sur Seine 2026 festival. Formed in 2023, the trio consists of violinist Sylvain Rabourdin, cellist Lina Belaïd, and percussionist Wadie Naim. Their music blends Mediterranean influences, drawing from Occitan, Franco-Algerian, and Alexandrian traditions. The ensemble combines chamber music, improvisation, and modal traditions, creating a borderless sound that weaves together composed pieces, traditional repertoires, and spontaneous improvisation. Their repertoire, sometimes instrumental and sometimes sung, traces a shared journey from Occitania to the Arab world, passing through the Balkans and Greece. The trio's members have performed alongside artists such as Clara Ysé, Ibrahim Maalouf, Naïssam Jalal, Oum, and Lynn Adib. Each concert invites the audience into a sonic poem that alternates lyrical flights, raw emotions, rhythmic explosions, and choral surges inspired by centuries-old practices. The event is part of the Jazz Sur Seine 2026 festival and is a partner event of Club Artistik Rezo.
