Marrakech Biennale 6th Edition Reveals 47 Participating Artists

The 6th Marrakech Biennale, curated by Reem Fadda, will run from February 24 to May 8, 2016. This year's theme, "Not New Now," explores society’s fixation on novelty, featuring the works of 47 artists including Talal Afifi, Haig Aivazian, El Anatsui, Tarek Atoui, and Kader Attia. The event will be hosted in five historic sites across Marrakech’s medina, such as Koutoubia Mosque and Palais Bahia. Notably, this biennale offers free admission to all visitors, making it more accessible to the public. The initiative aims to celebrate and reflect on artistic diversity within the region.
