Manuel Bano Debuts Metal 'OBJ' Collection with Objects with Narratives at PAD London 2026
At PAD London 2026, from 13 to 18 October, Mexico-based designer Manuel Bano will showcase his metal-centric 'OBJ' collection at Booth A8, in collaboration with exhibition partner Objects with Narratives. Bano, who was inspired by his designer father and artist mother, relocated to Mexico in 2013 after completing an internship with Magnus Long. In 2017, he partnered with Héctor Esrawe and Age Salajõe to establish EWE Studio. The 'OBJ' collection originated during the pandemic with the introduction of the 'OBJ-01' table lamp and has since grown to feature various items crafted from stainless steel, brass, and oxidised steel. His copper work, influenced by Brian Thoreen, has led to partnerships in Santa Clara del Cobre, while he continues to balance his studio and practice, looking forward to audience reactions at PAD London.
