Malta Biennale 2028 Seeks Artistic Director

The Fondazzjoni għall-Malta Biennale has issued a global invitation for an Artistic Director for its third edition, scheduled to take place from March to May 2028 across Malta and Gozo. Interested candidates must submit their applications by 25 September 2026, 12:00 noon CET, via email at directorategeneral@maltabiennale.art. Required documents include a CV, a motivational letter, and a thematic concept. This biennale, organized by Heritage Malta, utilizes historic sites to encourage interactions between contemporary art and cultural heritage. The previous editions occurred in 2024 and 2026, supported by the President of Malta and UNESCO. The selected Artistic Director will work closely with heads of production and administration, reporting to the President and Executive Board.
