Luigi Serafini Named Guest of Honor at Orticolario 2026 on Lake Como
Since its inception in 2009, Orticolario has been a celebration of landscape culture and will present its sixteenth edition, titled En rêverie, from October 1 to 4, 2026, at Villa Erba, Lake Como. The Guest of Honor for this event is Luigi Serafini, renowned for his work, the Codex Seraphinianus. On October 2 at 11:30, he will deliver a talk entitled Sognare l'impossibile. La botanica dell'immaginazione, introduced by Moritz Mantero and moderated by Chiara Rostagno. Serafini, who was named Rai Radio3's Artist of the Year 2026, will also receive the Un Felliniano nel Mondo award on November 22 in Rimini. He completed the Codex's final pages in Giuslino in 1981 and created the installation Balançoires sans frontières in 2008, utilizing AI without bias and developing a 'retro-generative' technique.
