Lost Art Press Book Signings and Demonstrations at Handworks 2026

Lost Art Press will bring its full catalog of books, Crucible tools (including 150 new lump hammers), and apparel to Handworks, a hand tool show in Amana, Iowa, on September 4-5. The event, which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days, features 80 demonstrators and vendors, making it the largest Handworks yet. Lost Art Press will be located in the Festhalle Barn. On Saturday at 10 a.m., Christopher Schwarz and Mike Siemsen will present a talk; Schwarz's topic is undisclosed but promises to evoke laughter and tears, while Siemsen is expected to be humorous. Signed copies of books by Schwarz and Fitz will be available, with personalization on request. Additional signings include Mike Pekovich, author of 'Benchwork,' from noon to 1 p.m. both days, and Nick Kroll, author of 'Make Fresh Milk Paint,' who will demonstrate milk paint and sign books from 2 to 3 p.m. both days.
