London's June art season heats up with Treasure House Fair, Classic Art London, and Studiolo
London's June art season, diminished since Brexit, is revitalized by three concurrent events: Treasure House Fair (24-30 June), Classic Art London (22 June-3 July), and Studiolo (26 June). The Lewis collection, valued at £150m-£200m, will be sold at Sotheby's on 24 June, including Modigliani's 'Nu assis au collier' (1917) estimated over £45m. Christie's offers 106 works from the Zabludowicz collection, estimated over £15m, in live and online sales. Treasure House Fair, now in its fourth edition at Royal Hospital Chelsea, features 60 exhibitors (down from 72), with a third new. Co-founder Thomas Woodham Smith notes a generational shift in the trade, citing Rose Uniacke's influence on younger dealers like Ed Foster and Joe Chaffer. Classic Art London, launched in 2025 by Pippa Roberts and Silke Lohmann, has 16 participants and expanded talks programme. Studiolo, founded by Sebastien Paraskevas and Alesa Boyle, moves to Westminster Abbey's College Garden and Cloisters, with 14 exhibitors including Madeleine Perridge and Johnny van Haeften. Director Amelia Tomlinson plans a third edition in autumn 2026 and a 2027 edition.
