Locomotive's New Website: Custom Scroll Physics and Bold Typography

Locomotive, a digital studio based in Montreal, has unveiled a new website for its agency, highlighting its skills in interactive web design. The site incorporates smooth inertia scrolling, a unique liquid cursor, and striking typography against a backdrop of deep charcoal and bright white. Under the guidance of Louis Paquet and Dust™ Leblanc, the design team shunned conventional templates in favor of large display headlines and a modular grid layout. Designers Frédéric Marchand and Marie-Christine Dion meticulously balanced typography, featuring bold grotesque headings and clean labels for project data. Web developers Quentin Hocdé and Antoine Boulanger created custom scroll physics to ensure smooth transitions, while back-end developer Dominic Lord optimized data delivery. The site performs well on mobile devices, with code that aligns with the artistic vision. The project is showcased on Behance, setting a new standard for interactive web design and reflecting Locomotive's dedication to advancing agency portfolios.
