Les Inoubliables 2026: Fourth Edition Explores Transmission from September 22–27 in Courbevoie and Paris

The fourth edition of the festival Les Inoubliables will run from September 22 to 27, 2026 in Courbevoie and Paris, followed by a Geneva leg from October 7 to 16. Under the theme of transmission, the programme asks how women artists of the past continue to inspire today's creators, spanning classical music, jazz, chanson, folk, pop and contemporary creation through concerts, original works, a world premiere, a cine-concert, meetings and debates. A centrepiece is a world premiere commissioned by the festival from Swiss composer Sandrine Rudaz, written to accompany Musidora's 1922 silent film Soleil et Ombre. It will be presented on September 25 at the Cinémathèque française, performed by Orchestre Nexus under conductor Guillaume Berney, staging a dialogue between cinematic heritage and contemporary musical writing. Founded in 2022 as Festival des Femmes (pas)oubliées, the festival aims to make women composers known and to tell a richer, more representative history of music, while defending contemporary creation and giving a central place to artists writing the music of tomorrow.
