Lassie Robot Dog Combines Quadrupedal Mobility with Removable Knitted Suit

Creative studio every else has unveiled Lassie, a Next-Physical Companion robot dog designed to encourage outdoor activity and social interaction. The project, based on a survey of over 50 dog owners, explores the 'Lassie Effect'—how dogs promote healthier habits and social engagement. Lassie features quadrupedal mobility, non-verbal communication through gestures and light, and a removable knitted suit made from water- and stain-resistant CORDURA® yarn. The robot offers interchangeable leg modules for different activities (everyday walking, exploration, running, indoor mobility) and customizable fabric suits. It can learn user preferences over time and suggest activities. Lassie was designed by every else, with a team including Jungmin Park, Hyeonji Yang, Junghyun Kim, and Byeol Jang.
