LACMA to Host The Art Parade in 2026 Celebrating New Galleries Opening

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) is organizing The Art Parade, a public procession scheduled for June 20, 2026, on Museum Row. This event celebrates the inauguration of the David Geffen Galleries, part of LACMA's campus redevelopment. Originally created by Jeffrey Deitch, the parade previously occurred annually in New York's SoHo from 2005 to 2008, involving over 1,000 participants each year through collaborations with Creative Time and Paper Magazine. The Los Angeles version aims to engage artists, performers, and community members, adapting the concept for the local cultural scene.
