La Maison Gaston Brings Guadeloupe's Volcanic Rock and Indigo to AKAA Paris

From 22 to 25 October at stand A10 of AKAA in the Carreau du Temple, La Maison Gaston highlights the works of three Caribbean artists: Izae Etifier, Sylvia Eustache Rools, and Alice-Anne Augustin, centered around the theme "la pulsation du vivant." Eustache Rools showcases pieces from her residency in Guadeloupe during April–May 2026, including the "Géologie textile" series. Etifier draws inspiration from childhood vacations in Le Prêcheur, while Augustin’s paintings illustrate abstract landscapes. This residency, backed by DAC Guadeloupe and Résidence Rose Marthe, took place in a heritage house located in Basse-Terre. Established in 2021 by Christelle Clairville, La Maison Gaston features approximately twenty artists from Guadeloupe, Martinique, and La Réunion, utilizing indigo and local materials in their works.
