L’Île-de-France fête le théâtre 2026: 10e édition du 3 juillet au 5 août

The 10th edition of the festival 'L’Île-de-France fête le théâtre' runs from July 3 to August 5, 2026, organized by the Région Île-de-France and directed by the Tréteaux de France – Centre dramatique national. Over the past decade, the festival has presented more than 1,000 performances, 98 shows, and 900 workshops in theater, dance, and visual arts, attracting over 90,000 spectators. The anniversary edition launches on July 3 with a special evening featuring the circus piece 'PERCEPTIONS' by Compagnie Bivouac. The festival takes place at three Île-de-France leisure islands: Créteil (July 3–6), Port aux Cerises (July 21–26), and Cergy-Pontoise (July 31–August 5). All events are free and open to the public, offering theater, circus, dance, and music. The initiative aims to make culture accessible to all, especially those who do not usually attend theater, by bringing performances to everyday spaces. Workshops encourage audience participation, with children often leading adults. The festival emphasizes a pluralistic approach, catering to diverse tastes and ages.
