KulturRegionale 2026 Brings Gaming, Goat-Dropping Bingo and 1863 Football to Baden-Württemberg

Scheduled for 19 September to 10 October, the KulturRegionale 2026 will animate the Kulturregion Stuttgart across three weeks with gaming, unconventional sporting events, performances and artistic reinterpretations of familiar board and parlour games. The biennial festival, formerly called Festival der KulturRegion, asks what has become of the idea of channelling social pressure or conflict into peaceful channels through games, sport and competition. Under the motto "Beyond Fun", the programme includes minigolf, an AI altar, a roaming gaming headquarters, goat-dropping bingo and a football tournament played by the rules of 1863. Participating cities include Bietigheim-Bissingen, where a Spielwiese Kunst is planned, plus Leonberg with a roller disco, Schorndorf with DIY ping-pong and Filderstadt with a mobility memory game. Ludwigsburg, Marbach, Böblingen and Esslingen are also involved. Organisers frame art, culture and sport as the most important outlets through which people find themselves, and the festival targets anyone in northern Baden-Württemberg seeking culture, play and fun. Exact dates for individual activities are available via the festival's listings.
