Katseye Debuts Blonde Makeovers and New Music at Coachella Performance

Katseye's five members—Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Yoonchae Jeung, and Sophia Laforteza—are preparing for their Coachella set on Friday night from a Los Angeles dance studio. The group recently underwent blonde hair transformations orchestrated by celebrity hairstylist George Papanikolas, a Matrix brand ambassador. Jeung initiated the change, inspired by Pinterest images and approved by creative director Humberto Leon and visual director João Moraes. Raj's Y2K-style highlights reference Christina Aguilera, while Skiendiel's S-shaped bleach pattern was modeled after Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu's graphic mane. Laforteza uses platinum extensions for a dip-dye effect reminiscent of Debbie Harry's style, and Avanzini added platinum face-framing pieces to her signature curls. Papanikolas emphasized hair health with weekly Matrix Build-A-Bond mask treatments to withstand choreography. The makeover coincides with their third comeback single 'Pinky Up,' following previous eras 'SIS' and 'Beautiful Chaos.' Rehearsals run from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily to perfect new elements for the Sahara Stage performance.
