Kappa FuturFestival 2026: Torino's Parco Dora becomes a 'cultural city' with art, food, and a Mexico expansion

The 13th edition of Kappa FuturFestival (KFF) in Turin's Parco Dora concluded on July 5, 2026, marking a shift from a music festival to a 12-hour 'temporary city' integrating electronic music, contemporary art, and haute cuisine. The festival hosted over 130 international artists from 151 countries, including Cape Verde's debut, with a production budget of €10.5-11 million. Highlights included back-to-back sets by Four Tet and Skrillex, Diplo with Busy P and Tatyana Jane, and performances by Swedish House Mafia, Max Cooper, Sven Väth, Charlotte de Witte, and Amelie Lens. The Lab Stage featured a bell by American artist Cory Arcangel, rung by DJs after sets. Co-founders Maurizio (Juni) Vitale and Gigi Mazzoleni revealed the festival is building an art collection with works by Marinella Senatore, Jacopo di Cera, Maurizio Cattelan, and Cory Arcangel. The 'Taverna Futurista' debuted with Michelin-starred chef Enrico Crippa. KFF will expand to Monterrey, Mexico, in November 2026 at Fundidora Park, a former foundry four times larger than Parco Dora, with 10,000 local tickets already sold.
