Judith Dean's Illusionary Paintings Featured at miart 2026 by Shahin Zarinbal and South Parade
At miart 2026, the works of Judith Dean will be on display, focusing on visual perception and cognitive control. The London artist employs a variety of imagery to question societal attention mechanisms. Featured pieces include "Judith Dean Catch" (2025–2026, 51x51 cm) and "Judith Dean Empty Head" (2026, 61x61 cm), both captured by Corey Bartle-Sanderson. This exhibition, a joint effort between South Parade (London) and Shahin Zarinbal (Berlin), will take place at Booth E06 in Milan from April 17-19, 2026. Born in 1965 in Billericay, UK, Dean graduated from Wimbledon School of Art (1988) and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten (1993). She received the Jerwood Sculpture Prize in 2005 and served as a Senior Lecturer at UWE Bristol from 2008 to 2024.
