Josh Bendall and Bimo Tri Launch Creative Reference Library, a Slower Alternative to Moodboard Feeds

digital · 2026-10-19

The Creative Reference Library (CRL) was designed by Josh Bendall and developed by Bimo Tri from Studio•Bamo.J. This library curates sound, film, writing, and materials chosen for their lasting significance, providing context for each entry. Users can browse through 20 rotating references using scroll or swipe gestures, with an option for a simple list view. Clicking on a reference reveals information such as the creator, title, year, and a direct link. The design features a monochrome color scheme and precise typography. Navigation includes Index, Library, and About sections, along with a live count of entries. Built on Webflow, GSAP, and WebGL through three.js, Tri envisions a future version that will allow shareable pages for each reference.
