Jordan Roth's Texæsthetic Indexes 2,166 Texas Artists as Free Research Platform

Jordan Roth, who owns Ro2 Art in Dallas and serves as President of the Contemporary Art Dealers of Dallas (CADD), is launching a complimentary database featuring 2,166 artists from Texas, named Texæsthetic. This initiative, referred to as a "cultural operating system," seeks to gather essential information for collectors, curators, and the general public. Texæsthetic is part of a larger project called Artecosystems.org, which aims to enhance the understanding of art systems. Utilizing AI-assisted tools, Roth has created the database, which includes "context cards" for artists that provide details on their residencies, exhibitions, and affiliations. A beta version will debut on October 24, 2023, during the Texæsthetic 1100: Foundations group exhibition at Ro2 Art, with full functionality expected by early 2027.
