Jaeger-LeCoultre Debuts Turner-Inspired Miniature Enamel Reverso at Homo Faber in Venice
Jaeger-LeCoultre presented exquisite miniature enamel artworks at Homo Faber in Venice, drawing inspiration from William Turner's depictions of the city. Each piece, meticulously painted on one-centimeter white gold surfaces, requires around two weeks of detailed work under a microscope. Notably, Jaeger-LeCoultre is the sole watchmaker to offer in-house miniature enameling. Matthieu Sauret, the Product Marketing & Heritage Director, pointed out the Reverso's customizable design from the 1930s that paved the way for enameling. Turner, who sketched Venice 200 years ago, foreshadowed Impressionism. Sauret also referenced a 1933 Reverso featuring the Maharaja of Jaipur's coat of arms, stressing that true innovation must preserve the value of handmade creations in an era dominated by AI and digitalization.
