International Sea Glass Festival Returns to Mystic for 22nd Edition

Scheduled for July 25-26, 2026, the 22nd International Sea Glass Festival will be hosted at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. This event, organized in collaboration with the International Sea Glass Association (ISGA), honors the beauty, history, and conservation of authentic sea and beach glass. Proceeds will benefit the Ocean Recovery Community Alliance. Attendees can explore the work of over 50 juried artisans, craftspeople, and authors, along with expert-led lectures. The Saturday Collectors Showcase will display private collections, while Sunday features a Sea Glass Contest with categories like Find of the Year. Admission is included with museum entry. The Mystic Seaport Museum, established in 1929, spans 19 acres along the Mystic River and houses over 650 historic vessels. This will be the festival's fourth consecutive year in Mystic, reflecting its popularity. In June 2026, the ISGA also hosted a second event in Monterey, CA. ISGA President César Williams-Padín, who has a background in collecting sea glass in Puerto Rico, suggests Fort Bragg, CA, known for Glass Beach and the International Sea Glass Museum, as an excellent location for sea glass hunting.
