In-Edit 2026 Announces Carla Simón and Albert Serra Premieres, Marianne Faithfull Tribute

The 24th edition of In-Edit, Barcelona's music documentary festival, will run from October 29 to November 8 at Mooby Aribau Cinemes. The opening film is Broken English by Ian Forsyth and Jane Pollard, a portrait of Marianne Faithfull featuring Tilda Swinton, George MacKay, Nick Cave, Courtney Love, Suki Waterhouse, and Beth Orton. Closing the festival is The Best Summer by Tamra Davis, which captures the 1990s alternative rock scene with never-before-seen footage of Beastie Boys, Sonic Youth, Foo Fighters, Pavement, Rancid, Beck, The Amps, and Bikini Kill. Davis discovered the tapes while evacuating her home during the Los Angeles fires in January 2025; they were recorded in 1995 during the Summersault festival in Australia. Catalan productions include Flamenco, Carla Simón's musical debut starring dancer Rocío Molina, and Albert Serra's Seize moments de ma vie, a documentary on German actress and singer Ingrid Caven, who performs sixteen moments of her life at Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord in Paris with the experimental group Molforts from Banyoles. In-Edit and Sala Apolo have launched the first Apolo Award for Best Music Video, with the winner to be announced during the festival.
