ICFF 2026 Returns to Javits Center with Bauhaus Exhibition and Expanded WANTED Feature
The International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) returns to Manhattan's Javits Center on May 17, 2026, for its 38th edition. Since 1989, ICFF has served as a platform for designers, retailers, and collectors. This year's theme is 'common ground,' positioning design as a unifying force. The floor plan, developed with Rodolfo Agrella Design Studio (RADS), organizes the fair into defined zones. Programming includes Dwell editor-in-chief William Hanley discussing the affordable housing crisis and New York Times's Julie Lasky moderating a panel on supporting New York's design community under the Mamdani administration. The expanded WANTED feature occupies 20,000 square feet, featuring over 70 North American studios in 'Look Book,' over 80 emerging designers in 'Launch Pad,' and about 20 schools in 'Schools Showcase.' A landmark exhibition by Rarify presents Bauhaus archival materials from Bauhaus Archiv Berlin, paired with contemporary furniture by German manufacturer Tecta. Highlights include a rare folding Wassily chair by Marcel Breuer and upholstered pieces by Walter Gropius. ICFF coincides with NYCxDESIGN Festival from May 14 to 20, 2026, which encompasses 10 design disciplines and over 250 events.
