Horse Hospital Collective Launches Disappearing Images Festival in London

The Horse Hospital, an artist-led non-profit venue in Bloomsbury, London, has been run by a collective since 2023. The collective, founded by George Lynch, Alex McKenzie, and Luisa D. Rozo, now includes Dillon Home. They will host the festival Disappearing Images from July 6-12, 2026. The festival explores themes of impermanence, urban space, and countercultural practice. The venue was founded in 1993 by Roger K. Burton, who died in 2025. The collective aims to carry forward his legacy of facilitating counterculture within London's changed material reality. Programming includes interdisciplinary events, such as a relaunch with performers from 54 The Gate, Chorus after London Trans Pride 2025, a 12-hour improvisation with Caroline Kraabel, and a day with Moor Mother featuring Shabaka, Klein, Valentina Magaletti, and Thurston Moore. The collective emphasizes risk-taking and open-ended collaborations, resisting fixed aesthetics.
