Hellfest 2026 Day 2: Iron Maiden, Ozzy Osbourne Statue, and French Metal

The second day of Hellfest 2026 on Friday, June 19, featured a statue of Ozzy Osbourne erected for the 19th edition. Performances included Sortilège on Mainstage 1, despite the loss of guitarist Bruno Ramos in May 2025. Blood Red Throne delivered brutal death metal on the Altar stage. Queensrÿche performed on a Mainstage, with a livelier show than their previous Paris concert. Sinsaenum, a multicultural blackened metal group, featured former members of Kreator, Mayhem, and Loudblast. Accept played on a main stage, with Wolf Hoffmann noted for his energy. Sylosis showcased their latest album with heavy riffs. Carach Angren presented horror-themed black metal with polished corpse paint and scenography. Loathe blended metalcore, nu metal, industrial, and progressive metal on the Valley stage. Iron Maiden headlined with a condensed show, Bruce Dickinson energetic, and no power cuts unlike their Paris dates. Ultra Vomit closed the day with a high-energy set, drawing a large crowd even after Iron Maiden. The day highlighted a mix of veteran and new-generation French bands.
