Heidi Korsavong's Packing List for Frieze Seoul 2026

Frieze Seoul 2026 returns to COEX in Gangnam, South Korea, in early September for its fifth edition, featuring over 125 galleries from 30 countries. Heidi Korsavong, co-founder of Los Angeles-based gallery Marta, shares her packing essentials with Galerie magazine. She will present new sculptures by Minjae Kim and paintings by his mother, Myoung-Ae Lee, at the fair. Korsavong plans a ten-day stay, checking one bag with six outfits, favoring black trousers and oversized collared shirts by day and monochrome ensembles by night. Her carry-on includes hydration packets, moisturizer, noise-canceling headphones, and the book 'Shade' by Sam Bloch, which she is reading as research for a 2028 exhibition. She packs versatile staples like raw silk blazers, a quilted duster, and a buttercream trench from Mijeong Park. Footwear includes black Birkenstocks or white Dansko clogs for day and Robert Clergerie pony-hide mules for night. Accessories include A History of Frogs' Arcane Gate necklace, Old Jewelry's OJ A00 Double Down ring, and Sophie Buhai's Petite Egg Drop earrings. She always leaves room for keepsakes, such as gifts, books, and small artworks.
