Hasselblad Phocus Mobile 1.0.0 Launches on Android After iOS Delay

Hasselblad has introduced Phocus Mobile V1.0.0 for Android, compatible with the X2D II 100C, X2D 100C, 907X, and CFV 100C models. This application offers the complete Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS) experience on Android, featuring AI-driven noise reduction, editing capabilities, and photo organization. Images can be transferred using WiFi or USB-C (wired transfers are only available on the X2D II 100C with firmware 1.3.16.1+). HDR images from the X2D II 100C are correctly displayed on HDR-enabled Android devices and can be exported as Ultra HDR JPG; RAW files can be exported as either Ultra HDR JPG or HDR TIFF. The app includes Hasselblad Natural Noise Reduction (HNNR) for high-ISO images, processing 100MP RAW files in 15–20 seconds. Users can choose between two processing modes: Purity Mode (for noise reduction) and Detail Mode (which maintains luminance noise). Phocus Mobile for Android is available for free, requiring Android 12 or higher and 12 GB of RAM, although Hasselblad recommends using Android 16+ and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or later for the best experience. In contrast, the iOS version, Phocus Mobile 2, has included tethering since August 2020, a feature not yet available on the Android version.
