Halide 3.2 Adds Variable Aperture and Manual ISO for iPhone 18 Pro
This week saw the launch of Halide 3.2, which upgrades the variable-aperture primary camera for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, now available for two weeks. Unlike Apple's Camera app that provides four fixed aperture settings, Halide lets users select any f-number between ƒ/1.48 and ƒ/4.0. The new update features an Aperture Priority mode and complete manual ISO control, filling a gap highlighted by PetaPixel in its review of the iPhone 18 Pro. Users of non-18 Pro models can enjoy two new in-app Looks, Quicksilver and Dawn, crafted with the expertise of Hollywood colorist Cullen Kelly. Existing users can access Halide 3.2 as a free update, while Halide Mark III is available for free download, with full features priced at $69.99 for a lifetime, $9.99 annually, or $19.99 annually for tutorials.
